This is one of our new tactical knives--the Tac-2. ABS Master Bladesmith, Jason Tiensvold, makes this combat-tested and proven knife to ABS standards. Jason and I worked on this knife and designed it to be a reliable tool for the Soldier, Sailor, Airman, or Marine. After 30 years of service as an Infantryman, Combat Engineer, and Military Intelligence Officer in the jungles of South America, the desert, and other climate extremes, I learned just how important a good knife can be.

The Tac-2 is made from forged 1/4 inch 1095 high carbon steel, with a 5 3/4-inch blade, yet it weights less than 8 ounces.

Jason differentially heat treats the Tac-2 forged blades. Why is this important? Differential heat treating produces a blade with great deal of strength and flexibility, yet it retains an edge with exceptional cutting ability. Sharpened false edges are illegal in some locations so we offer an option of a sharpened or unsharpened false edge. Please choose a sharpened or unsharpened false edge when you check out.

It has an ergonometric black micarta handle with a 416 stainless hilt. It comes with a Combat Master sheath included in the package. There are 4 colors available in the Combat Master sheath and the ACU Pattern. Please choose a sheath color or choose ACU pattern when you check out.
